Balingen - Handpan Workshop Setup

Ideal for anyone who has already had some experience with the handpan and would like to improve their playing. This workshop is aimed at those who have already completed a beginners’ course or have mastered their first melodies and rhythms on the handpan. Now it’s time to build on what you’ve learned and take it to the next level. In the advanced handpan workshop, we concentrate on the three basic building blocks of music: rhythm, melody and harmony. We sharpen our sense of rhythm, which forms the basis for everything we play. We also delve a little into music theory and discover the notes and chords available on the D minor (D Kurd) handpan. This will teach us how to play beautiful pieces with chord progressions – the secret of successful handpan players This advanced workshop will give you a deeper understanding of how to create beautiful music with your handpan. In a playful way – including making music together – we will apply the concepts we have learned, make our playing more versatile and incorporate intuition and improvisation.
